Local Teens Hurt in Crash on Route T

Two local teenagers were injured in a one-car crash on Route T in rural Scotland County at 10:31 a.m. on Friday, September 25th.

According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, Cassa R. Jones, 16, of Greentop, was eastbound on Route T, 15 miles south of Memphis, in a 1989 Dodge. The vehicle drove off the right side of the roadway, struck a fence and overturned several times before coming to rest on the passenger side door.

Jones and a passenger in the vehicle, Tayler D. Davis, 14, of Greentop, both suffered moderate injuries. Both girls were wearing their seatbelts at the time of the accident. They were transported to Scotland County Memorial Hospital by private vehicle.

The Patrol was assisted at the scene by the Scotland County Sheriff’s Department.
