Wyaconda Man Hurt in Clark County Crash

A three-vehicle crash Saturday morning in Clark County left a Wyaconda man injured. According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, Lawrence F. Heimer, 76, sustained moderate injuries in the crash.

The accident occurred at 8:55 a.m. on September 26th at the intersection of Highway 136 and Route BB.

Perry W. Thurman, 62, of Kahoka was westbound on Highway 136 in a 1988 Chevrolet truck and was stopped attempting to make a lefthand turn on to Route BB. A 1999 Mercury driven by Kiaya N. Saavedra, 17, of Luray was also westbound on Highway 136 and struck Thurmanís vehicle in the rear. The impact forced the Thurman vehicle into the eastbound lane of Highway 136 where it was struck by a 1990 Ford truck driven by Heimer.

Thurman suffered serious injuries. He was transported by Scotland County Ambulance to Scotland County Memorial Hospital in Memphis.

Heimer was also transported by Scotland County ambulance to SCMH. Saavedra suffered minor injuries. A passenger in her vehicle, Ashley L. Agnew, 18, of Kahoka was uninjured.
