JAMES CLARENCE KEETHLER
(4/9/1911 – 12/6/2008)



James Clarence Keethler was born April 9, 1911, in Summitville, Iowa to Dr. and Mrs. A.M. Keethler. He passed away on Saturday, December 6, 2008.

James was the beloved husband for 73 years of the late Emma Alberta ‘Bert’ Keethler (Newton).

He was the cherished father of James C. (Sue) Keethler Jr. of Stillwater, OK and Dr. John N. Keethler of La Jolla, CA; dear grandfather of Margaret (Wes) Brewer, Susan Cantrell, and James C. (Susan) Keethler, III; great-grandfather of 10; uncle, great-uncle, neighbor and friend.

James graduated from N.E. Missouri State Teachers College in Kirksville. He lived in Overland for over 70 years. He taught in the Ritenour School District. He was a retired engineer for McDonnell Douglas.

James was a founding member of St. Ann Christian Church and a past worshipful master in the Bridgeton Masonic Lodge and Ex. High Priest at Royal Arch.

Masonic services were held on Friday, December 12, 2008 at Shephard Funeral Chapel. Interment was in the Memphis City Cemetery in Memphis, Missouri.
