JOEY LYNN (MARTIN) HUNTER
(7/29/1961-2/7/2009)



Joey Lynn (Martin) Hunter, 47, of Tulsa, OK, passed away on February 7, 2009, at the Hillcrest Medical Center in Tulsa, OK.

The daughter of Donald Eugene and Helen Pauline (Knight) Martin, she was born on July 29, 1961 in Unionville, MO.

Following graduation from Schuyler County High School, she attended Truman State University in Kirksville, MO, where she graduated and later became a Certified Public Accountant in Tulsa, OK.

On November 14, 2008, she was united in marriage to John Dwayne Hunter in Eureka Springs, MO.

Joey was devoted member of the Family Prayer Center of Tulsa, OK.

Joey is survived by her father, Donald Eugene Martin of Glenwood, MO; her loving husband, John Hunter of Tulsa, OK; her sister, Donna Cooley and husband, Connie of Greentop, MO; nieces and nephews, Julie Riley of Novinger, MO, Sue Scheurer and husband, Roy of Kirksville, MO, Kevin Cooley and wife, Kelly of Glenwood, MO, Cheryl Dangerfield and husband, Charlie of Blue Springs, MO and Kelly Cooley and wife, Schelle of Memphis, MO; 15 great-nieces and nephews; 11 great-great-nieces and nephews and other family members.

Her mother, Helen Pauline Martin and one great-niece, Brandy Cooley, preceded Joey in death.

Funeral services will be held on Thursday, February 12, 2009 at 2:00 p.m. at the Norman Funeral Home in Lancaster, MO with Kevin Collins, pastor of the Omaha Baptist Church officiating. Music will be provided by Maureen Watkins, organist and Schelle Cooley, soloist. Special selections will be “The Old Rugged Cross” and “Amazing Grace”. Pallbearers will be Connie Cooley, Kelly Cooley, Dalton Cooley, Dylan Bruhn, Bryan Scheurer and Chris Billington. Visitation will be held Wednesday, February 11, 2009 at the Norman Funeral Home in Lancaster, MO between the hours of 6:00-8:00 p.m. Memorials have been established for the St. John’s Cemetery in Livonia, MO. Arrangements are under the direction of the Norman Funeral Home of Lancaster, MO.
