Arthur Paul Baird, 39, of Butler, MO passed away Wednesday evening, April 1, 2009, at Overland Park Regional Medical Center in Overland Park, KS.

The son of Gilbert Paul and Carol (McNamar) Baird he was born May 21, 1969 in Houston, TX. He was a graduate of Big Sandy High School in Livingston, TX.

Paul was a veteran of the U.S. Army and worked in the Signal Corp in communications. He had served in Germany for two years and six months in a combat zone in Bosnia. Paul worked as an auditor for Wal-Mart Distribution Center in Harrisonville, MO

He is survived by his mother, Carol (McNamar) Baird of Memphis, MO; his father, Gilbert Baird of Coldspring, TX; one daughter; Jessica Leigh Easter of Midtown, VA; two sisters, Christina Sue Kyzer and her husband Russell of Birmingham, AL and Linda Kay Baird of Chanute, KS; his grandmother, Alice Susan McNamar of Memphis, MO; numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins and his brother-at-heart, Billy Brown and his wife Nicki and their two children Trenton and Tiffany of Liberal, KS

Funeral services were held at the Payne Funeral Chapel Sunday, April 5, 2009, with Pastor Dan Hite and Rev. Don Miller officiating. Interment followed at the Memphis Cemetery.

Pallbearers were Harry Miller, Billy Brown, Dave Hudson, Dave Brennen, James Minkler, and Earnest Wilbur (Ernie) Miller.

Arrangements were under the direction of the Payne Funeral Chapel in Memphis.
