JERRY PHILLIP CHUITES, SR.

Jerry Phillip Chuites, Sr., 47, of Memphis died Wednesday evening, April 22, 2009, at his home near the Brock community near Scotland County.

He was born the son of Jerry and Mary C. Murphy (Bray) on May 7, 1961 in Kirksville.

Jerry married the former Patricia Nolan on May 12, 2007 in Kirksville. She survives.

He enjoyed fishing, hunting, car racing, camping, monster trucks, poker, and most of all, his grandchildren.

He is preceded in death by Jerry Bray, Crystal Nolan, Blaze Chuites, Violet and Phillip Pinkerton, Nora and Florid Hicks.

He is survived by his wife, Patricia, of the home; mother Mary and husband Charles Downing of Memphis; children, Tabitha Shilling of Ottumwa, IA, Jerry Chuites, Jr., of Cedar Rapids, Iowa, Violet Chuites of Edina, Eugene Chuites of Bloomfield, IA, Joy Nolan, Joshua and Chester Robinson, all of Memphis; sisters, Tammy Jones of Memphis and Debbie Downing of Springfield, MO; grandchildren, Dagisteno, Zeke, and Scooter Shilling, Raelynn and Jaydon Chuites, and Blake Robertson; a niece, Amber Rader; and a nephew, Dylan Jones.

Funeral services were held at 2 p.m., April 25, 2009 at the Gerth Funeral Chapel in Memphis with the Rev. David Pinkerton officiating. Danny Ferdig, Jerry Chuites, Jr., Eugene Chuites, A.J. Forrest, Joshua Robinson, and Larry Fulk served as pall-bearers. Chester Robinson and Dylan Jones served as honorary pallbearers. Burial was in the Arni Memorial Cemetery in Lancaster.
