JUDSON CLARK LEPPER
(7/24/1921-6/25/2009)



Judson Clark Lepper, 87 years, 11 months, and one day old, passed away at the Cameron Hospital in Cameron, MO, on Thursday, June 25, 2009.

The son of Clarence Edward and Beth Ocie (Wamsley) Lepper, he was born on July 24, 1921 in Downing, MO.

Judson enlisted in the United States Army where he served during World War II, Korea and Vietnam. Following his honorable discharge from the United States Army in 1968, he made his home in rural Scotland County, MO for a number of years. Later he moved to Cameron, MO to be a resident of the Veterans Home in Cameron, MO.

He was united in marriage to Darlene Mathes and to this union three children born, James, John and Joanna.

Survivors include his children, James E. Lepper of Kansas City, MO, John Lepper of Arizona and Joanna Turner of Colorado; 12 grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren and many good friends.

Judson was preceded in death by is parents; two sisters, Fontelle Plummer and Ruth Smith; two sisters in infancy, Mildred Lepper and Geraldine Lepper; one brother-in-law, Stanley Plummer and one granddaughter, Shaylin Lepper.

He enjoyed visiting with good friends, Forrest and Mary Martin and Junior and Ruth Alexander and also trapshooting.

Memorial services will be held on Monday, July 6, 2009 at 10:30 a.m. at the United Methodist Church in Downing, MO with George Mullins, pastor of the Downing United Methodist Church officiating. Special taped musical selections of “In The Garden” and “The Green Green Grass of Home” will be performed. A visitation will be held at the Downing Depot Museum in Downing, MO following the burial of the cremains. Burial will be in the Downing Cemetery in Downing, MO. The Scotland County VFW Post #4958 of Memphis, MO will conduct military rites at the cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of the Norman Funeral Home of Lancaster and Downing, MO.
