Boys Squad Finishes Fifth at Clark County Track Meet

The Scotland County boys track team took fifth place at the Clark County Track meet held April 17th.

Freshman Logan Payne helped lead the way for SCR-I. He took second place in the 3,200 meter run in a time of 12:11.3. Payne was also a member of the 4x800 meter relay team that took second place. He teamed up with Rod Sears, Brock Bondurant and Sabe Sears. They finished in a time of 10:02.

Rod Sears earned eight points for the team with a second place effort in the 800-meter run in a time of 2:17. Bondurant was eighth in the event. R. Sears picked up points for the team in the long jump as well. His 173 jump was good enough for fourth place.

Sabe Sears finished sixth in the 400 meter dash in a time of 57.4.

The 4x400 meter relay team of Drew Miller, Matt Tague and the Sears cousins was fifth in a time of 4:17.

The Tigers 4x100 meter relay team earned sixth place in a time 54.6. The runners were Logan Brassfield, Cody Avery, Harley Stone and Brad Hamner.

The 4x200 meter relay team also took fifth place. Runners were Tague, Stone, Miller and Brassfield.

Tyler Troutman rounded out the team scoring with a seventh place finish in the 1,600 meter run.
