Baker Takes Checkered Flag at Show-Me Speedway

Saturday night racing action returned to Show-Me Speedway in Downing with 54 go-karts signed up to take to the track.

The Junior II and the Blue motor divisions had the largest fields, both hitting double digits.

The #33 kart of Tyler Hagar took the checkered flag in the Blue division feature holding off #23 Jarrett Lovelace and #17 Robert Seiger. Other participants included #40 Victor Pippin, #18 Clay Darr, #24 Scott Goff, #36 Jim Hagar, #38 D.J. Fountain, #26 John Dovin, #51 Megan Farley, and #63 Brandon Darr.

In the Junior II class it was the Daniel Fischer and the #66 kart crossing the finish line first ahead of #27 Austin Versteegh, #7C Cole Elsea and #12 Devon Beeler. Rounding out the field were #7 Tyler McGoldrick, #14 Autumn Elliott, #42 Tyler Heckhart, #26 Austin Dovin, #9 Dakota Elliott, #04 Jeremy Marshall and #63 Jacob Dietrich.

The Advanced Rookie feature race was won by #7 Hayden Gordy.

Madisyn Rhodes took top honors in the Beginner Rookie class feature besting #70 Casey Taylor, #77 Foster Janes and #6 Coy Farley.

The Stock Lite class was a five-kart clash that saw the #13 kart of Damian Beeler come home first ahead of #48 Andrew Murray, #93 Candice Hays, #42 Jesse Simmons and #8 Travis Hettinger.

Jace Gay took home the trophy in the Junior I feature event, topping #88 Austin Howes, #10 Dawson Beeler, #11 Kyle Clark and #16 Karissa Adams.

The Masters class victory went to the #48 kart of David Kirpatrick. Finishing second was #70 Ron Taylor followed by #22 Alan Adams and #69 Pat Grogan.

Adam Baker drove the #22 kart to victory lane in the Stock Medium feature. He held off #2 Brian Birchmier and #32 Tyler Hagar for the win. Rounding out the field was #42 Jesse Simmons, #93 Candice Hays, #77 Andy Garrett and #56 Joey Martens.

The Junior I Heavy class was a three-kart battle with Joey Hagar taking the checkered flag in the #37 kart ahead of #88 Amber Harrison and #90 Joshua Adams.
