H1N1 Vaccine to Be Offered at Ball Game

The Scotland County Health Department continues to provide citizens the opportunity to receive the H1N1 flu vaccine.

“We are currently contacting local area businesses to offer vaccine clinics in the workplace,” said administrator Margaret Curry.

A clinic has been scheduled at the high school to be held during the North Shelby vs. Scotland County R-I basketball game on January 26th. The health department will be set up in the commons to offer the H1N1 to anyone attending the ball game.

“If you would be interested in having a clinic at your business please contact the Scotland County Health Department,” Curry added.

H1N1 vaccinations are available at no cost to everyone (both Scotland and non-county residents).

Curry stated that health experts still believe there will be another wave of the virus early this year.

For more information please contact the health department at 660-465-7275.
