Munzlinger to Hold 6th Annual Medicare Part D Sign-Up Assistance Seminar

Missourians interested in learning more about their options and benefits within the Medicare Part D prescription drug program will have their questions answered at the 6th annual sign-up assistance seminars sponsored by Rep. Brian Munzlinger, R-Williamstown. The seminars are designed to make certain all area residents have the information they need to take advantage of the benefits of the Medicare Part D program.

Rep. Munzlinger is working with CLAIM, Missouri's official state health insurance assistance program, to provide two seminars - Monday, November 29, 2010 from 4:30pm to 8:00pm at Scotland County High School in Memphis and on Tuesday, November 30, 2010 from 4:30pm to 8:00pm at Canton High School in Canton. Participants can meet with Medicare experts and possibly enroll in one of the Medicare prescription drug plans on-site. Unbiased counselors will be able to provide the top five drug plan choices.

"This is a great opportunity for anyone with a question to attend and have it answered by someone who knows the details of the program," said Rep. Munzlinger. "Our goal is to register as many people as we can in the program. At the very least we want to arm our citizens with the knowledge they need to make informed decisions as to what plan may work the best for them."

Anyone interested in attending is encouraged to bring a list of their current medications (drug name, amount and how often taken), their preferred pharmacy, and their Medicare Red, White and Blue card. Appointments are being made this year, but walk-ins are always welcome. To make an appointment call CLAIM toll free at 800-390-3330 between the hours of 9:00am and 4:00pm and provide your name, phone number and address.

For more information about the seminar, contact Rep. Brian Munzlinger at 573-751-7985.
