TODD EDWARD MATLOCK

Todd Edward Matlock, 45, of Fort Madison, IA, passed away on Saturday, February 27, 2010 at 8:30 p.m. at his home. He was born on January 7, 1965 in Keosauqua, IA to Gordon and Marjorie Priest Matlock.

Todd married Barb Johnson on September 29, 1984 in Montrose, IA and later married Heather Richard on July 4, 2003 in Fort Madison, IA. He was a truck driver for W.M. Johnson Truck Lines in Fort Madison and was a member of the Fort Madison Elks Lodge. He enjoyed yard work, golf, cooking and had quite a sense of humor. He coached little league football and baseball and was the drummer for several local bands over the years.

Todd is survived by his wife, Heather Matlock of Fort Madison, IA; two sons, Derek and Laine Matlock both of St. Charles, IL; one step-daughter, Kerrigan Austin of Fort Madison, IA; his father and step mother: Gordon (Linda Humphrey) Matlock of Montrose, IA; four siblings, Mark Matlock of Keokuk, IA, Holli (Joe) Johnson of Montrose, IA, Scott (Victoria) Matlock of Donnellson, IA, Kirk Matlock of Burlington, IA; and numerous nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his mother and grandparents.

Funeral services were held Wednesday, March 3, 2010 at King-Lynk Funeral Home & Crematory in Fort Madison, IA, with Rev. John Simpson officiating. Burial was in Montrose Cemetery.
