BETTY ANN BEELER
(8/27/1931 - 12/8/2010)



Betty Ann (Steggall) Beeler, 79 of Lancaster, Missouri passed away at the Northeast Regional Medical Center in Kirksville, Missouri on Wednesday, December 8, 2010.

The daughter of Maurice Anthony and Berniece Marion (Kunkle) Steggall, she was born on August 27, 1931 in Oelwein, Iowa. Betty was a graduate of the Lancaster High School in Lancaster, Missouri with the graduating class of l948.

On October 31, 1948 in Princeton, Missouri, she was united in marriage to Dean Beeler and to this union two children were born, Steve and Teresa.

Survivors include her children, Steve Beeler of Lancaster, Missouri and Teresa Shaw and husband, Randy of Lancaster, Missouri; 3 grandchildren, Jared Shaw and wife, Bree of Lancaster, Missouri, Jessup Beeler of Lancaster, Missouri and Jeanean Clark and husband, Jeff of Lancaster, Missouri; 5 great grandchildren, Braxton, Bronson and Braylon Shaw, Tana Eakins, Zaylee Clark all of Lancaster, Missouri; 2 step great grandchildren, Shelby and Megan Clark of Lancaster, Missouri; 1 sister, Mardell Kirby and Duane of Lancaster, Missouri; 1 brother, Jim Steggall and Marilyn of Lancaster, Missouri; 1 sister-in-law, Mrs. Dale (Betty) Beeler of Lancaster, Missouri; special niece and nephews, Jane Jones and husband, Jack of Knoxville, Tennessee, Dale Atteberry and wife, Linda of Lake St. Louis, Missouri and Max Atteberry and wife, Diane of Rochester Hills, Michigan along with many nephews and nieces, other family members and many friends.

Betty is preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Dean Beeler on September 6, 1995; two sisters, Darlene LeVan and Laverle Atteberry.

Betty was a member of the Methodist Church of Lancaster, Missouri. She was also a member of the Order of the Eastern Star and PEO.

She was employed with the Sale Barn in Lancaster, Missouri as well as the Schuyler County Bank and Kirksville Savings & Loan Bank in Kirksville, Missouri for a number of years. After retiring from banking, she went to work with her husband at Dean Beeler Oldsmobile in Lancaster, Missouri.

Betty enjoyed spending time with her family and friends and also enjoyed gardening and cleaning.

Funeral services were held on Sunday, December 12, 2010 at the Norman Funeral Home in Lancaster, Missouri with Sonny Smyser, pastor of the Schuyler County Church of Faith in Lancaster, Missouri officiating. Special CD musical selections of "How Great Thou Art" and "Amazing Grace" were played followed by a taped selection of the late Poe Steggall singing "Why Me Lord". Pallbearers were Jared Shaw, Jessup Beeler, Steve Swindler, Steve Bowling, Rick Minter and Charles Beeler. Honorary bearers were Braxton, Bronson and Braylon Shaw and Tana Eakins.

Memorials have been established for the Lancaster Little League and Schuyler County Church of Faith.

Burial was in the Arni Memorial Cemetery in Lancaster, Missouri. Arrangements were under the direction of the Norman Funeral Home of Lancaster, Missouri.
