STEVE GUNDY
(10/5/1967 - 12/15/2010)



Steve Gundy, age 43, of Hot Springs, Arkansas, died Wednesday, December 15, 2010.

He was born on October 5, 1967, at Kirksville, Missouri, the son of Paul Vern Gundy and Edna Mae Miller Gundy. On March 20, 1993, he was married to Julie Geiger. He was preceded in death by his father.

Steve was a member of First United Methodist Church. He received a Bachelor's degree in Aviation from Central Missouri State University in Warrensburg, Missouri.

He is survived by his wife, Julie Gundy of Hot Springs; one son, Jake Gundy, of Hot Springs; one daughter, Katie Gundy of Hot Springs; his mother, Edna Mae Gundy of Memphis, Missouri; two sisters, Sherry Holt of Memphis, Missouri, and Phyllis Tracy of Brookfield, Missouri; his father-in-law, Lloyd Geiger, Jr. of Baldwin City, Kansas; his mother-in-law, Peggy Tessendorf of Boonville, Missouri; two sisters-in-law, Chellie Maxon of Lee's Summit, Missouri, and Holly Snow of Carthage, Missouri; nine nieces and nephews; and a host of friends.

Services were held Monday, December 20, 2010 at the First United Methodist Church in Hot Springs, with Rev. Bud Reeves officiating.

Interment was in Memorial Gardens Cemetery, under the direction of Davis-Smith Funeral Home, Hot Springs.

Pallbearers were Steve Allemand, Tom Warren, Brian Martin, Alan Snow, Wim Maxon, Chris Harris, Jim Shults and George Dooley.

Honorary pallbearers were Dr. Timothy Webb, Dr. John Pace, the staff of St. Joseph's Mercy Health Center, and the staff of Arkansas Hospice.

Memorials may be made in Steve's name to Arkansas Hospice, 300 Werner Street, Hot Springs, Arkansas 71913.
