Sears, Shannan, Stone Earn All Conference Honors

Three Scotland County baseball players were honored by the coaches of the Tri-Rivers Conference when the 2010 TRC Baseball All-Conference Teams were announced May 21st.

Sabe Sears and Ben Shannan were named to the first team all-conference and Harley Stone received second team honors.

North Shelby claimed the TRC title with a 5-0 record in league play, earning Scott Gaines Coach of the Year honors. Schuyler County had a 2-1 mark in the TRC while Scotland County finished 1-1, Knox County was 2-2 vs. TRC opponents while Milan was 1-3 and Putnam County was 0-4.

Schuyler County’s Jesse Wheeler and North Shelby’s Bradley Craigmyl shared the league most valuable player honors.

Joining them on the first team were seniors Lance McMahon and Tristan Loneberger of Knox County, seniors Nolan Otto and Josh Mesmer and junior Alex Thrasher of North Shelby, junior Blane Robinson of Putnam County, sophomores Jordon Wheeler and Daniel Howe of Schuyler County, and Sears and Shannan from SCR-I.

Named to the second team along with Stone were Cameron Morford (Jr.) of Knox County, Alex Bruner (Sr.) Schuyler County, Alex Daniel (Sr.) and John Stoneburner (So.) North Shelby, Dylan Morgret (Sr.) Knox County, Tyler Weaver (Sr.) Schuyler County, Jordan Wheeler (Jr.) and Matt Coon (Sr.) Milan, and Josh Dodsworth (So.) Putnam County.
