Three Lady Tigers Earn Softball All-District Honors

After dominating performances by both hurlers in the Class 1 District 11 Tournament, Scotland County was rewarded by having a pair of pitchers named to the All-District Team along with shortstop Skyler Alderton.

Freshman Bethany Rader blanked Canton in the opener before Megan Creek held Knox County to a single run in an extra innings loss in the semi-finals.

Creek and Rader were joined on the all district team by fellow pitchers Jessica Linberger of North Shelby, Kristyn Caldwell of Canton and Rachel Poston of Knox County.

Shortsops Shelby Slater of Brashear and Katy Chrisman of Novinger joined Alderton as all-district infielders along with first baseman Jodi Brumbaugh of North Shelby and second baseman Hannah Dale of Knox County.

The all-district outfield included Cierra Hines of Brashear, Rachel Echternacht of North Shelby and Stacey Leckbee of Knox County.

Catchers receiving all-district honors were Jessica Redd of Marion County, Madison Arnett of North Shelby and Samantha Daniels of Novinger.
