Local Restaurant Featured in National Selling Cookbook

Chef Dave Snodgrass of Main Street Café in Memphis is one of many chefs and restaurants featured in a new nationally selling cookbook. Taste of Main Street America includes recipes from independent and family owned restaurants on Main Streets across America. The book features restaurants from all 50 states.

According to the introduction: "The idea for this cookbook came about several years ago during election interviews with people across America. The term 'Main Street America' seemed to generate visions of hard-working Americans in local communities across the country."

Featured recipes are categorized as Appetizers, Soups, Salads, Sandwiches, Entrees, Sides & Sauces, Breads & Breakfast, or Desserts. The cookbook offers a great selection from each category with over 200 recipes in total.

In addition to Memphis' own Main Street Café other area restaurants featured include Ogo's Restaurant in Keokuk, IA and Julia's Home Cookin' in Ottumwa, IA. The cookbook is available for sale on and at Barnes and Nobles Bookstores. A copy is available at Main Street Café for folks that want to check it out - a limited number of copies will soon be available for sale at Main Street Cafe.
