Clark County Residents Arrested On Drug Charges

On Saturday, February 5, 2011, at approximately 11:20 a.m., a Missouri State Highway Patrol trooper went to the Eric M. Woods residence, in rural Clark County, in an attempt to serve an arrest warrant.

While at the residence, the trooper smelled the odor of chemicals commonly associated with a methamphetamine lab. The residence was secured and a search warrant for the residence was obtained. During the subsequent execution of the search warrant, methamphetamine, and materials used to manufacture meth were located inside the residence.

The following individuals were arrested at the scene:

Eric M. Woods, 30, of rural Kahoka, Missouri, was arrested for felony possession with intent to distribute methamphetamine; felony manufacturing a controlled substance -methamphetamine; felony possession of a controlled substance-methamphetamine; felony possession of drug paraphernalia-methamphetamine; and possession of drug paraphernalia-marijuana. He is currently being held at the Clark County Jail on a $50,000 bond.

Gary Keith Whitaker, 21, of rural Revere, Missouri, was arrested for felony manufacturing a controlled substance-methamphetamine; felony possession of a controlled substance-methamphetamine; and felony possession of drug paraphernalia-methamphetamine. He is currently being held at the Clark County Jail on a $50,000 bond.

Hilary S. Vance, 25, of Wayland, Missouri, was arrested for felony manufacturing a controlled substance-methamphetamine; felony possession of a controlled substance-methamphetamine; and felony possession of drug paraphernalia-methamphetamine. She was released pending issuance of a warrant.

The Missouri State Highway Patrol was assisted by the Clark County Sheriff's Office and the North Missouri Drug Task Force.

The charges for which the individuals were arrested are mere accusations and are not evidence of guilt. Evidence in support of the charges must be presented before a court of competent jurisdiction whose duty is to determine guilt or innocence.
