Rutledge Woman Hurt in Crash on Highway 15

A Rutledge woman suffered minor injuries in a one-vehicle accident on Highway 15 eight miles south of Memphis at 3:50 p.m. on Monday, March 21st.

According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, Jane N. Huff, 71, was northbound on Highway 15 in a 2004 GMC Yukon when she apparently fell asleep at the wheel. The vehicle crossed the center line and ran off the left side of the roadway where it struck an embankment before coming to rest facing southbound.

Huff refused treatment at the scene.

The Highway Patrol was assisted at the scene by the Scotland County Sheriff's Office, and the Knox County Ambulance and Scotland County Ambulance services.
