Scotland County Commission Meeting Minutes

County Minutes Thursday, May 26, 2011

PLACE OF MEETING: Scotland County Courthouse Commission Chambers

The meeting was called to order at 8:30 AM.

PRESENT WERE: Presiding Commissioner, C.E. Harris, Jr., Eastern District Commissioner, Danette Clatt, and County Clerk, Batina Dodge. Western District Commissioner, Paul Campbell arrived at 8:50.

The minutes from May 25, 2011 were presented. Presiding Commissioner Harris moved to approve the minutes; seconded by Commissioner Clatt. Motion carried 2-0. Commissioner Campbell was absent.

Jeff McBee reported that a tube on county road 758 north of his house is washing out.

Matt Walker, Engineer for Great River Engineering, called regarding several ongoing bridge projects.

Gerald Droege requested ditching on county road 659 and asked about repairs to county road 961.

Presiding Commissioner Harris moved to adjourn at 12:00 pm; seconded by Commissioner Clatt. Motion carried 3-0.

The Scotland County Commission adjourned to meet in regular session on Wednesday, June 1, 2011.

PLACE OF MEETING: Scotland County Courthouse Commission Chambers

The meeting was called to order at 8:30 AM.

PRESENT WERE: Harris, Jr., Campbell, Clatt and Dodge.

The minutes from May 26, 2011 were presented. Presiding Commissioner Harris moved to approve the minutes; seconded by Commissioner Clatt. Motion carried 3-0.

Mark Drummond, Road and Bridge Supervisor, discussed road and bridge issues with commission.

Dave Cochran, Janitor, presented trash bag quotes to commission.

LaVern Stott reported the tube on county road 807 is washing out again because the road needs to be ditched and crowned.

Marty Lewis reported problems with county roads 712 and 707.

Presiding Commissioner Harris talked to Dan Buckman, engineer for Great River Engineering, regarding pilings for bridges 401 and 337.

Commissioner Clatt moved to adjourn at 12:00 pm; seconded by Commissioner Campbell. Motion carried 2-0. Presiding Commissioner Harris left at 11:57.

The Scotland County Commission adjourned to meet in regular session on Wednesday, June 1, 2011.



Thursday, June 2, 2011

PLACE OF MEETING: Scotland County Courthouse Commission Chambers

The meeting was called to order at 8:30 AM.

PRESENT WERE: Harris, Jr., Campbell, Clatt, and Dodge.

Commissioners Campbell and Clatt and County Clerk Dodge attended a workshop, hosted by the Missouri State Tax Commission, on Board of Equalization for County Commissioners, County Clerks, and Assessors at the Shelby County Courthouse from 9:30 am to 3:00 pm.

Commissioners Clatt and Campbell opened bids for mowing of the courthouse lawn. Bids were as follows:

Jash Robinson - $40.00 No liability insurance; Michele Miller $35.00 - Provided proof of liability insurance.

Commissioner Campbell moved to accept the bid of Michele Miller; seconded by Commissioner Clatt. Motion carried 2-0.

Presiding Commissioner Harris was absent.

The Scotland County Commission adjourned to meet in regular session on Wednesday, June 8, 2011.



Wednesday, June 8, 2011

PLACE OF MEETING: Scotland County Courthouse Commission Chambers

The meeting was called to order at 8:30 AM.

PRESENT WERE: Harris, Jr., Clatt, and Dodge

The minutes from June 2, 2011 were presented. Commissioner Clatt moved to approve the minutes; seconded by Presiding Commissioner Harris. Motion carried 2-0.

Kathy Kiddoo, Treasurer, presented the monthly settlement of funds.

Melody Whitacre from Regional Planning, presented paperwork for Commissioner Campbell on Solid Waste Management.

Presiding Commissioner Harris moved to accept the bid from Regional Planning to perform administrative work on Scotland County's Community Development Block Grant.

LaVern Stott called about grading.

Presiding Commissioner Harris moved to adjourn at 12:00 pm; seconded by Commissioner Clatt. Motion carried 2-0.

The Scotland County Commission adjourned to meet in regular session on Thursday, June 9, 2011.
