Local Women Injured in Wreck Near Fairgrounds
Two area women sustained minor injuries in a one-car crash on Highway 136, just west of Memphis at 3:25 p.m. on Thursday, June 30th.
According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, Sheila B. Remley, 44, of Arbela, was eastbound in a 1998 Dodge minivan when she ran off the south side of the road and struck a ditch.
A passenger in the car, Jasmine D. Wakefield, 20, of Memphis, suffered minor injuries in the crash. She was transported by Scotland County Ambulance to Scotland County Hospital in Memphis.
Remley was extracted from the vehicle by ambulance personnel with assistance from first responders and the Scotland County Rescue Squad. She was also taken by ambulance to SCH.
