Community Players to Perform Kind Christmas Visitors December 9th and 10th

Cast members work on one of the scene for the upcoming Community Players production of The Kind Christmas Visitors during a practice held November 28th.

Performances of the Memphis Community Players and Evening on Broadway Troupe Christmas show The Kind Christmas Visitors will be Friday and Saturday, December 9-10, at 7:30 at the Memphis Theatre.

Kind Christmas Visitors by Cheryl Taylor is the sequel to the 2010 MCP's performance of Watt Family Christmas? The Watt Family is preparing to celebrate Christmas at their home in Miamitty County and is expecting relatives, the Kind Family, to visit. The Watts have not seen the Kind Family since they were children, so they don't know what they look like. Confusion results when the "visitors" arrive!

Members of the "Watt Family" include Tom and Teresa Cotton, Harlo Donelson, Lynnette Dyer, Brent Karhoff, Slade McAfee, Abigail Quillen, Frank and Brooke Wineinger, and Jon Wullbrandt. The Christmas visitors are Jeff Dyer and Joe Fulk.

The Watt Family Children Micah Cooley, Clara and Sadie Davis, Suzanna DeMarce, Hannah and Katie Feeney, Kendra Middleton, and Ty Mohr will be in the "Home-made, Down-home Christmas Pageant" which is part of the Watt's Christmas celebration.

Other singers for the production include Lois Bertram, Trinity Davis, Joan Hinds, Anna Lynn Kirkpatrick, JoAnn Peters, Jan Slayton, and Carol Trump.

Sheila Berkowitz is directing the performance and Lori Fulk is directing music. Ann Luther will accompany the many Christmas musical selections to be performed by the ensemble and soloists. Schelle Cooley and Michael Fulk will be performing seasonal musical selections.

Other members of the production staff are Sam Berkowitz, Dallace and Bonnie Schumacher, Allen Shelley, and Kim Smith.

Tickets for the performance are $8.00. The Box Office will open at 6:30 p.m. and seating will begin at 6:45 p.m.
