DONALD DEAN GOLBRICHT
(8/30/1940 -3/19/2011)



Donald Dean (Donnie) Golbricht, 70, of Gorin, MO, passed away Saturday, March 19, 2011, at his home.

The son of Francis and Lola Irene (Clatt) Golbricht, he was born on August 30, 1940, in Rutledge, MO. He was a graduate of Gorin High School.

On May 25, 1970, he was united in marriage to Barbara E. Eddleman by Reverend Barnett in Edina, MO. They made their home in Gorin.

He worked at Keokuk Steel Castings and retired after thirty-five years due to his health. Donnie loved to work on his 1949 Ford and to ride around Gorin visiting with his many friends. He enjoyed singing and playing his guitar. He especially loved his grandchildren.

Preceding him in death were his parents; his wife, Barbara on October 1, 2002; his son, Billy Dean Golbricht on February 7, 2006; and a sister.

Survivors include his daughter, Shelly McDonald and husband Victor of Sarasota, FL; his brother, Nelson and wife Patty Golbricht of Gorin, MO; three grandchildren, Stephanie, Miranda, and Kyle Golbricht of Luray; MO; special friend, Cindy Miller of Gorin, MO; two godchildren, Danny and Dustin Roach; and nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Funeral services were held on Thursday, March 24, 2011, at 2 p.m. in the Gerth Funeral Chapel in Memphis with Reverend Leon Buford officiating. Bill Roach, Matthew Small, Rick Golbricht, Allen Peterson, Brent Crawford and Richard Crawford served as pallbearers. Burial was in the Gorin Cemetery.

Memorials are suggested to the Gorin Cemetery and may be left at or mailed to the Gerth Funeral Service, 115 S. Main St., Memphis MO 63555.

Arrangements are under the direction of the Gerth Funeral Service from their Memphis chapel.
