Mildred Alice Tucker, 79, of Keosauqua, passed away early Wednesday, March 30, 2011, at the Van Buren County Hospital, Keosauqua. She was born October 28,1931, in Hamilton, IL, the daughter of Lloyd and Mary Boyce Marsh. Mildred graduated from Scotland County High School, Memphis, MO and married Charles Ross Tucker on March 5, 1950. He preceded her in death on November 26, 1997. She was a homemaker most of her life and lived on their farm near Pulaski, IA. Mildred enjoyed the lifelong fellowship of her church families at Richland Baptist Church, Hitt, MO, Barker United Methodist Church and Downing Christian Church in Downing, MO. She was an avid gardener and enjoyed fishing with a passion. Her greatest joy in life was spending quality time with her children and grandchildren. Mildred was a loving and devoted wife, mother, grandma, great-grandma, aunt and friend.

She is survived by one son, Stephen Tucker (Becky), Keosauqua, three daughters: Carolyn Armento-Clark (Steve), Montrose, IA, Kay Price (Roger) of Bridgeton, MO and Ann Sanders (Ken) of Myrtle Beach, SC: five grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, one brother, Lloyd March, Jr. and one sister, Geraldine Burden.

Celebration of Life services were held at 11 a.m. Monday, April 4, 2011, at the Barker United Methodist Church, four miles south of Stiles, IA on the Iowa-Missouri state line with Pastor Carolyn Armento-Clark officiating with burial in the North Barker Cemetery beside the church. Visitation at the Pedrick Funeral Home, Keosauqua was at 4 p.m. Sunday, April 3, 2011, with the family present 5-7 p.m. Sunday evening. Memorials may be made to the North Barker Cemetery Association and may be left at the funeral home or mailed to the family at 18356 222nd Street, Keosauqua, IA 52565.
