LINDA SUE ALDRIDGE
(7/7/1952 - 4/10/2011)



On the morning of April 10, 2011, Linda Sue Aldridge, 58, of Memphis, MO passed away at Blessing Hospital in Quincy, IL, due to a heart complication. The daughter of Henry William and Dorothy Jean Rose "Runquist" Aldridge, she was born on July 7, 1952, in Kirksville, MO. Linda was a lifelong resident of Memphis, MO. She graduated from Scotland County High School in 1972. From 1972-1982 she worked at Ben Franklin and Yost's Five and Dime. From 1984-1989 she had worked at the local Dollar General. In 1990 she was hired at the Scotland County Care Center until just the last few years for health reason. While employed as a Nurse's Aid she had touched the hearts of several of the residents and friends. Linda was a caring person ready to help out whoever and whenever she was needed. She loved life, friends, and her family. Over the years she had several pets that she cared for as her own children. She loved to fish, play various games, puzzles, read, especially dominoes. She dabbled in a few crafts. She belonged to the First Christian Church of Memphis, MO. She was preceded in death by her parents, sister, Alberta Rose Kaldenberg, brother, Kenneth Edward Aldridge, a brother-in-law, Glenn Garrett, and a Special Friend, Charles Creek and a host of friends. Linda is survived by one sister; Barbara Garrett of Moberly, MO, one sister-in-law; Colleen Aldridge of Webster City, IA. Several nephews, nieces and great nieces and nephews. Funeral services were held Thursday, April 14, 2011 at 1:30 P.M. at Payne Funeral Chapel in Memphis. Officiating the service was Pastor Dan Hite. Interment followed in the Memphis Cemetery in rural Scotland County, Missouri. Pallbearers were Robert Arnold, Richard Lantz, Randy Hillyer, Jason Moss, Michael Moore, and Donnie Dennison. Honorary Pallbearers were Lonnie Cochran, Boyd Bissell and Mark Jayne. Arrangements were under the direction of the Payne Funeral Chapel in Memphis.
