Paul Dewayne Lancaster, 81, of Memphis, Missouri left this earth to be with his Lord and Savior, Saturday, May 14, 2011 in Macon, Missouri. The son of Lloyd and Ella Mae Arnold Lancaster, he was born on November 3, 1929 in Scotland County, Missouri. He grew up loving and harassing his favorite siblings (idiot # 1 Mary Helen and idiot #2 Shirley Mae). He attended school at Scotland County R-1, enlisted in the United States Air Force in June of 1948, and was honorably discharged in 1952. He then enrolled in Barber School in Kansas City, MO. He was united in marriage to Marlene Flaye Girardin October 18, 1953 and to this union Alan Dewayne, Carolyn Raye, Marilyn Kaye, Ted Lee, and Lanita Jaye were born.

He was preceded in death by his bride, Molly, his sons, Alan Dewayne and Ted Lee and daughter Lanita Jaye; his parents, mother-in-law, Beulah Girardin; nephew, Mike Girardin; niece, Terri Carlton and much loved brother-in-law, Charles Simpson.

Survivors include, two daughters, Carolyn and her husband Danny Harper of Eldon, MO and Marilyn Kaye and her husband David Means of Pineville, LA; one grandson, David Alan Harper of Kahoka, MO; two granddaughters, Danielle Nicole Harper of Canton, MO, and Martha Raye Means of Pineville, LA; sisters include Mary Helen Simpson of Versailles, Missouri and Shirley Mae Eggleston and husband Max of Memphis, Missouri; brother-in-laws, Lee Girardin and wife Terry of Quincy, IL and Terry Girardin and wife Marcella of Cantril, IA; cousin Ardelle Arnold of Memphis, Missouri, special friend, Corrine Thrasher of Memphis, Missouri; nephews, nieces, friends and loved ones.

A celebration for Life service was held at the United Methodist Church in Arbela, Missouri, Wednesday, May 18, 2011. Officiating the Service was Pastor Homer Poor. Interment followed in the Memphis Cemetery with the Wallace W. Gillespie V.F.W. Post # 4958 providing full Military Honors at the gravesite.

Pallbearers were Lee and Terry Girardin, Danny and David Harper, David Means, Bill Hall, Larry Little, and Max Eggleston. Honorary Pallbearers were Ted Gundy, Noel Barker, Clark Mustoe, Roger Robinson, Jerry Haley, John Matlock and Bill "Red" Lancaster.

Memorials are suggested to the United Methodist Church in Arbela, Missouri and can be left at or mailed to the Payne Funeral Chapel, 202 E. Madison St. Memphis Missouri 63555.

Sisters Carol and Marilyn and families would like to thank Dad's friends and family for their love and support throughout the years. May God bless each.
