FRANCIS NELSON GOLBRICHT

Francis Nelson Golbricht, 75, of Memphis, MO, passed away Thursday, May 26, 2011, in the Scotland County Care Center.

The son of Francis Ferdinand and Lola Irene (Davis) Golbricht, he was born on October 5, 1935, in Rutledge, MO.

Nelson was a graduate of Gorin High School. He joined the United States Navy in 1955 and served on the USS Shenandoah.

In 1956 he was married to Patty Egbert in Memphis, MO. To this union four children were born: Jackie, Rick, Stacey, and Beth.

Upon his discharge from the US Navy, he returned to Gorin. He worked at Klopfer's Garage in Gorin and Morgan Oil Co. in Wyaconda. He began farming in Gorin and the family lived on the farm for 38 years. He and Patty moved to Memphis in April, 2011.

Preceding him in death were his parents; his brother, Donald and his sister; his great grandson, Andrew, and his nephew, Billy Dean Golbricht.

Survivors include his wife, Patty Golbricht of Memphis; his children, Jackie Small and David Peterson of Memphis, Rick and Cheryl Golbricht of Memphis, Stacey and Bill Richardson of Arbela, Beth Golbricht and Meri of Colfax, IA, and his dog, Sparky; his grandchildren, Matthew (Morgan) Small, Kristi (Shad) Witt, Kelly (Joni) Robinson, and Ki Robinson; fourteen great grandchildren; three great great grandchildren; and his very special friend, Bill Ebling.

A celebration of life will be held on Tuesday, May 31, 2011, at 2 p.m. in the Gerth Funeral Chapel in Memphis with Pastor Homer Poor officiating. Inurnment will be in the Gorin Cemetery, Gorin, MO.

Registry hours will be available on Saturday, May 28th from 9 a.m. until 3 p.m. and on Tuesday, May 31st from 9 a.m. until the time of the service. Visitation with the family will be held on Tuesday from 1-2 p.m.

Memorials are suggested to the Gorin United Methodist Church or to the Scotland County Cancer Fund and may be left at or mailed to Gerth Funeral Service, 115 S. Main, Memphis, MO 63555.

Arrangements are under the direction of the Gerth Funeral Service from their Memphis chapel.
