WILLA M. COPPAGE
(6/10/1931 - 7/24/2011)



Willa M. Coppage, 80, of Fort Madison, IA, passed away on Sunday, July 24, 2011 at 6:20 AM at Iowa Methodist Hospital in Des Moines.

She was born on June 10, 1931 in Wyaconda, Missouri to Paul and Rena Brookhart Cox. On June 26, 1955 she married William E. Coppage in Ft. Madison; he passed away on January 29, 2009. Willa worked at Sheaffer Pen Co. for many years and then worked for the FMCSD in food service until she retired. She was a member of the First Christian Church and a former member of Kings Daughters. Willa enjoyed gardening, flowers, going on walks, camping and bowling. She and Bill enjoyed spending their winters in Florida for many years. Willa was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother.

Survivors include one son, Bill (Lynn) Coppage of West Point, IA; two daughters, Diane (Rick) Anderberg of Ankney, IA and Linda Coppage Edwards of Des Moines, IA; nine grandchildren; Niki, MeKenzie and Billy Coppage, Lisa and Greg Anderberg and Jimmy, Kelsey, Emma and Lauren Edwards. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, one sister Nadine.

Friends may call after 2 p.m. on Wednesday, July 27, 2011 at King-Lynk Funeral Home & Crematory where the family will receive friends from 5 to 7 p.m. The funeral service will be held at 1:30 PM on Thursday, July 28, 2011 at King-Lynk Funeral Home & Crematory with Rev. John Simpson officiating. Burial will be in Soldiers' Circle, Oakland Cemetery.
