ARLENE LOUIS AGRE
(2/27/1925 - 8/12/2011)



Arlene Louis Agre, 86, of Memphis, MO formerly of Canton IL went to see her savior in the early morning of August 12, 2011 at her home in Memphis. Arlene was born a twin, February 27, 1925 in East Peoria, IL. She was the daughter of Benjamin Allen and Millie Ophelia Adams Fitzgerald. She married Ralph C. Agre on Feb. 16, 1942 at Kahoka, MO. He preceded her in death on June 12th, 2001.

Others that preceded her in death were her parents, three sisters: Ruth A. Fitzgerald, Frances A. Rotchford, and Dorothy V. Henry, along with three brothers: Benjamin V. Fitzgerald, Donald V. Fitzgerald, and her twin Allen I. Fitzgerald.

Survivors include her son: Gary L. Agre of Westerville, OH, and two daughters: Marlene P. (Danny) Brush, Memphis, MO, and Cynthia (Eddie) Breese of Fiatt, IL, six grandsons: Jay Brush (Samantha) Brush, Brian (Cindy) Brush and Chris A. (Heather) Brush all of Memphis, MO, Gary S. Agre of Arnold, MO, Mark (Susan) Agre of Overland Park, KS, and Darren (Jeannie) Breese of Canton, IL, two granddaughters: Danielle (Jake) Bair of Memphis, MO and Brenda (Darren) Sprague of Farmington, IL, and twenty great-grandchildren: Anthony Brush and Amber (Brush) Varnold, Jayson, Jacqui', Samara, and Shai'lyn Brush, Tabitha, Marissa, Calesse, Lathe Bair and Breanna (Bair) Hayes, Delanie and Jacob Breese, Macie, Alli, and Kayla Sprague, Stephanie and Jared Agre, Zachary and Blake Agre, four great-great-grandchildren: Ethan and Natalie Brush, Aubree Varnold and Ailea Hayes.

Arlene attended Manual Training High School in Peoria, IL and retired from Illinois Bell Telephone Company in 1973. Arlene attended a two year study in Ministry School in San Diego, CA, and then moved back to Peoria, IL and worked for Zondervan Bible and Book Store. Later she went to stay with her brother and his wife in Bloomington, IN to help care for her sister-in-law until she passed away with cancer. At that time she worked for Little Bit of Heaven Bible and Book Store. She later moved to Memphis to be near her children and grandchildren.

She attended the Assembly of God Church in Peoria, IL and the first Baptist Church in Memphis. She was happy and content in her walk with her Lord the Savior and loved all of her family.

Funeral services will be at 4:00 p.m. Friday, August 19, 2011 at the Payne Funeral Chapel in Memphis with Pastor Dan Hite officiating. Interment will follow in the Memphis Cemetery east of Memphis, MO

Visitation is scheduled for one hour before the service. Pallbearers will be Jay, Brian and Chris Brush, Darren Breese, Gary Agre Jr. and Mark Agre.

Memorials are suggested to the family for their discretion and can be left at or mailed to the Payne Funeral Chapel, 202 E. Madison St. Memphis, MO 63555.

Arrangements are under the direction of the Payne Funeral Chapel in Memphis.
