Tague's 19 Points Help Lady Tigers Topple Canton 48-26

Senior Ashley Tague poured in 19 points on Tuesday night to help the Lady Tigers get by Canton 48-26 and improve to 14-4 on the season.

It was the Scotland County guards that got things rolling early for the Lady Tigers. Skyler Alderton and Courtney Jackson combined for 10 first quarter points. Alderton's pair of three pointers helped SCR-I jump out to a 14-6 lead.

Tague heated up in the second quarter. She connected from behind the arc and added two more field goals as Scotland County expanded its lead to 29-15 at halftime.

Tague and Aimee Dale accounted for all 10 third quarter points for Scotland County as the lead grew to 39-23 with just eight minutes to play.

SCR-I did not let up on defense, holding Canton to just three points in the fourth quarter en route to the 48-26 win.

Tague's 19 points led all scorers. Alderton and Dale each finished with eight points and Jackson added six points. Canton was led in scoring by Kristyn Caldwell with 12 points.
