Rams Best Undermanned Golf Squad

Three Scotland County golfers got their first varsity experience on April 5th as the Tigers took on Schuyler County at Timber Ridge Golf Course in Memphis. Katie Miller, Alex Curry and Dakota Elliott filled out the varsity squad for the Tigers who were missing several regulars due to scheduling conflicts with track and baseball.

The Rams prevailed by a final score of 190 to 204 behind Nathen Werner who was the individual medalist with a round of 43. That just edged Kasey Dial's 44 for top honors.

Rounding out the Tigers teams core card were Taylor Rader with a 50, Elliott with a 51 and Curry with a 59.

Cougars Claw Past SCR-I In Golf Action

The Scotland County golf team trimmed more than 20 strokes from its score from just a few days earlier but it still was not enough as the Highland Cougars clawed their way past SCR-I in varsity golf action on April 8th in Memphis.

Highland took the meet by a score of 174 to 181. The Cougars Michael Kirkham tied with SCR-I's Kasey Dial for the individual medalist honors with a round of 40.

Taylor Rader carded a round of 42 while Drew Miller shot a 46. Andrew Mathes finished with 53 and Levi Woollums shot a 54.
