Tigers Tie For First Place at Mustang Relays

The Scotland County boys track team tied for first place in the Mustang Relays held April 12 in Bloomfield, IA. SCR-I matched Putnam County's team score of 111 to finish atop the leader board.

SCR-I got big points in the 3,200 meter run where Logan Payne finished first and Evan Hager took fourth place. Payne finished second in the 1,600 meter run.

The team also got first place points in the high jump, and the 800 meter dash. Sabe Sears cleared 6-feet to best the high jump field. Lucas Howard finished fifth with a jump of 5'4". Rodney Sears won the 800-meter run in a time of 2.11.22. Morgan Carlton was fifth in the race.

Scotland County won the 4x400 meter relay event and took second place in the 4x800 meter relay.

Rodney Sears finished second in the 400-meter dash with Sabe Sears earning fourth place.

Sabe also took third place in the long jump clearing 19' 1".

William Masden finished second in the shot put with a throw of 38'2" and was fourth in the discus with a toss of 95' 8.5".

Howard added third place points in the 400-meter low hurdles and was fifth in the 110 high hurdles.

Van Buren finished in third with a teams core of 108 followed by Cardinal with 76 points, Schuyler County with 57 points and Seymour with 47 points.
