Tigers Fifth at Moberly Golf Tourney

The Scotland County golf squad took fifth place in the small school division of the Moberly Golf Tournament held April 19th.

Kasey Dial carded a round of 89 to top the scorecard for the Tigers. Taylor Rader finished with a 97. Drew Miller shot a 104 and Andrew Mathes carded 105 while Levi Woollums ended the day with a round of 113.

Marceline won the division with a score of 312 followed by Salisbury with a 338 and Eugene with a 340. The Moberly junior varsity team edged SCR-I with a score of 373. The Tigers team total of 395 finished ahead of Harrisburg (404), Westran (414) and Hallsville (431). Milan and Glasgow did not compile complete team scores.

Bulldogs Best SCR-I Golfers at TRGC



Golfers from La Plata and Scotland County R-I battled less than ideal conditions on April 18th at Timber Ridge Golf Course to complete a dual meet.

Cold and windy weather made for a tough day, but several golfers still turned in quality scores. La Plata won the event with a margin of 158-202.

Jake Waddell and Weston Smith tied for top honors with scores of 38 for the Bulldogs.

Kasey Dial shot a 39 to top SCR-I. Taylor Rader finished with a 44 followed by Dakota Elliott with a 54 and Alex Curry with a 65. Katie Miller shot a 74.
