Scotland County Tigers Summer Strength & Conditioning Program Begins June 6th

To be good at anything, you must prepare for success. That is the purpose of the summer strength & conditioning program at Scotland County R-I Junior -Senior High School. Not only do athletes prepare their bodies for competition, they build confidence and team unity. The old cliché, "you get out of it what you put into it", is true. If you expect rewards, you must earn them.

The program will begin on Monday, June 6th, and run through Thursday, July 28th (8 consecutive weeks). High school athletes will train each Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday. Times are as follows; 6:30 a.m.-varsity and junior varsity football, 8:00 a.m.-high school boys varsity and junior varsity basketball, and junior high boys and girls will train on Tuesday and Thursdays only, at 9:30 a.m. High school girls will train in the evenings.

The program includes stretching, weight training, and speed work. Junior high athletes will be closely monitored and concentrate on proper lifting techniques rather the amount of weight lifted. Please feel free to contact Brent Bondurant at 465-8907 with any questions or concerns. All athletes should be in attendance.
