'Our Story Goes On' Coming to Memphis Theatre July 8th

A rare gathering this summer of 20 professional performers from throughout the country and three from Great Britain will present area residents and visitors "Our Story Goes On", a musical production that celebrates family and the enduring cycle of our lives. Accomplished musicians, composers, singers and actors will blend their talents to present the show, which features an insightful narrative interwoven with beloved Broadway and American classics including numbers from the Wizard of Oz, Fiddler on the Roof, Disney's Hercules, Josh Groban, and American folk songs, as well as original compositions prepared especially for this year's performance.

The talent for "Our Story Goes On" is comprised of the core cast of the Nauvoo Pageant. Now in its eighth year of productions, the pageant will be performed on the outdoor pageant stage in Nauvoo, IL, July 10th through August 4th, Tuesday through Saturdays, with the Frontier County Fair from 7 p.m. - 8:30 p.m. and the pageant beginning at 8:30 p.m. For more information please visit www.nauvoopageant.org, facebook.com/Nauvoo Pageant or call 217-453-2429.

"Our Story Goes On" will be performed each Sunday in July in area cities. On July 8th, this heartwarming production will be held at the Memphis Theatre at 6 p.m. Tickets are not required and there is no cost to attend, however free will donations will be accepted for the theatre's digital projector upgrade fund.

Other performances will be in Naperville, IL, on July 1st; in Burlington, IA, on July 15th; in Carthage, IL, on July 22nd; and in Nauvoo, IL on July 29th.

"These performances offer us an opportunity to give back to those here in the Midwest who have given so much support to the pageant over the years," said Nauvoo Pageant writer and producer David Warner.

"Last year the core cast performed in Nauvoo as well as Normal, Keokuk, Quincy and Edwardsville, IL and received such praise that we just couldn't pass up the opportunity to give back to the community in a bigger way," said Pageant president John Ricks.
