Liberty Utilities Seeking $1.01 ISRS Rate Increase for Natural Gas

Liberty Energy (Midstates) Corp., d/b/a Liberty Utilities, has filed an application with the Missouri Public Service Commission to change its Infrastructure System Replacement Surcharge (ISRS).

Liberty Utilities is seeking the adjustment to reflect infrastructure replacement investments made by the natural gas company from October 2010 through May 2012. These costs for natural gas pipeline replacements and relocations are not currently included in Liberty's rates.

The current ISRS for residential customers is $0.68 a month. Liberty proposes to increase that to $1.69 a month.

Applications to intervene and participate in this case must be filed no later than August 29, 2012, with the Secretary of the Missouri Public Service Commission, P.O. Box 360, Jefferson City, MO 65102-0360.

Liberty Utilities (formerly Atmos Energy) serves approximately 56,300 natural gas customers in Missouri including Scotland County.
