Two Memphis Men Arrested Following Mugging in Kirksville

A pair of Memphis men are behind bars in Adair County following an alleged assault and robbery early Saturday morning in Kirksville.

Calvin Phillips, 26, and Chanyel Crow, III, 22, are facing robbery and assault charges following an alleged mugging near the Wooden Nickel restaurant and lounge on August 11th. The two men reportedly assaulted a man in the alley way behind the facility before taking $30 in cash from his pockets.

Crow and Phillips were taken into custody Saturday morning at a gas station in Kirksville by the Kirksville Police Department. The two men have been charged with robbery in the 2nd degree, a class B felony as well as assault in the third degree, a class A misdemeanor. They are being held in the Adair County Detention Center on $75,000 cash only bond.
