Sidewalk Improvements Planned for Business 136 in Memphis

It will soon be easier and safer for pedestrians to walk along the streets of Memphis. This week MoDOT and its contractor W. L Miller Company began the construction of ADA improvements to the sidewalks located along Business 136 in Memphis. The work area will begin at US 136 and go north for approximate 0.2 miles.

"MoDOT is pleased to be able to bring this project to Memphis so that good sidewalks can be provided to the citizens in the community," said Amy Crawford, MoDOT area engineer. "Safety is our number one priority, and these improvements will provide that to individuals traveling in this area," she added.

The contract was awarded for $46,338. Once the contractor begins, they have until October 1st to complete the project.
