CAROL SUE KRAUS

Carol Sue Kraus, 66, of Kahoka, MO, died Monday, May 21, 2012 at Blessing Hospital in Quincy, IL.

She was born on March 3, 1946 in Colorado Springs, CO, the daughter of Raymond and Ramona Roberts. She married her soul mate, Gurden Kraus on December 26, 2001 in Sulphur Rock, Arkansas. He survives.

Other survivors include, two sons, Scott Conger and his wife April, and Chad Conger and his wife Sherry all of Sulphur Rock, AR three grandsons, Andy Conger and Shelbi, Aaron Conger and Austin Conger and one great-grandson, Drayton Conger all of Sulpher Rock, AR, one sister who was her best friend, Barbara Mathes and her husband Randy of Arbela, MO, one brother, Rick Roberts and his wife Diana of Kahoka, MO, four nephews, Travis Mathes and his wife Heidi, Jamie Mathes and his fiancée, Megan Maag, Gus Roberts and Ben Roberts, two great-nieces, Alyssa Mathes and Kayleigh Maag, one great-nephew, Trenton Mathes, and two co-workers that were her best friends, Sharon Zahn and Donna Dale.

She was preceded in death by her parents.

She had been employed at Henniges Automotive in Keokuk for twenty-seven years and retired on March 1, 2011. She loved her job and especially the crews she worked with. She always said she had the best people in the plant and she really believed it.

Her family was her life and she loved her daughters-in-law like her own daughters. She was always so proud of all her family.

A Celebration of Life service was held Thursday, May 24 at the Vigen Memorial Home in Kahoka, Missouri.

Memorials may be made to the Clark County Food Pantry.
