MARGIE MAY DEROSEAR

Margie May DeRosear, age 83, of Baring Country Club, Baring, MO, passed away Monday, October 22, 2012, in Cape Coral, FL.
She was born in Scotland County, MO, on May 4, 1929, the daughter of Cecil and Ruth (Slocum) Blaine.
Margie was united in marriage to the love of her life, Dean Warson DeRosear, at the Christian Church in Memphis, MO and he preceded her in death on May 2, 1997. Margie was also preceded in death by her parents.
Surviving are two sisters, Evelyn (Blaine) and Roy Benner of Kansas City, MO, Jerri (Blaine) and the late Hillis Baker of Memphis, MO, two daughters, Deanne (DeRosear) and Randy Perry of Novelty, MO, Lori DeRosear and Sarah Spalding of Cape Coral, FL, two grandchildren Angela Perry and her fiancée Casey Cleeton of LaGrange, MO, Robert Perry of Columbia, MO, one brother-in-law, Dwight and Joan DeRosear of Memphis, MO and many nieces and nephews.
Margie received her education at Memphis, MO. She and her husband owned and operated the DeRosear Flower Shops for many years in Memphis, Edina, Kirksville and Kahoka, MO. She was a member of FTD (Florist Transworld Delivery Service) and served as the President of the district branch for many years. She was a member of the Edina First Christian Church, the Ladies Auxiliary of the VFW, and Eastern Star Matilda Chapter #411. She loved her work, family and friends. She enjoyed playing cards, dancing, travel, sunbathing, golf and especially her time with her cat, Oscar.
Funeral services were held Saturday, October 27, 2012, in the Hudson-Rimer Funeral Home in Edina, MO. Reverend Dewayne Wellborn officiated the services. Music was "Wind Beneath My Wings" and "In The Garden". Burial was in the Memphis Cemetery.
Casket bearers were Randy Perry, Robert Perry, Eric DeRosear, Ron Baker, Randy Redding and Casey Barnhill. Honorary bearers were Dottie and Romi Kriegshauser, Ann Sue and Colin Campbell, and Betty and Jerome Kurth.
