Lady Tigers Have Strong Showing at Knox County Invitational

The Scotland County girls track team had a strong showing in the season-opening track meet held in Edina on March 27th. Several SCR-I athletes brought home top honors from the Knox County Invitational.

Randi Slaughter finished first in the 200-meter dash in a time of 32.03 seconds. Teammate Brianna Priebe was fourth in a time of 32.80.

The duo teamed up with Desera Knupp and Alexis Dodge to finish second in the 4x200 meter relay in a time of 2:06.35.

Slaughter also took top honors in the triple jump, at a distance of 24'10". She was fourth in the 300-meter hurdles.

Loren Smith-Roberts finished first in both the shot put and the discus. She won the shot put with a toss of 36' 2.5". Teammate Courtney Brassfield was eighth in the event. Smith-Roberts was top in the discus with a distance of 122' 3".

The Lady Tigers 4x100 relay team of Knupp, Tahnee Forquer, Dodge and Priebe finished second.

Forquer was seventh in the 100-meter dash. Kylee Johnson finished seventh in the 400-meter dash with Taylor Cooper in eighth.

In the 800-meter run, SCR-I's Mazy Gray was fifth with Cooper taking eighth.

Paige McClamroch earned second place in the 3,200-meter run. Anna Hirner was eighth in the high jump and took sixth in the long jump.
