Megan Creek poured in 15 points as she helped SCR-I when its two-game losing streak on Tuesday night by beating Schuyler County.

After suffering its first two losses of the season last week, Scotland County will head into Christmas break on a high note after stopping Schuyler County 52-45 on Tuesday night in Memphis.

Megan Creek helped SCR-I jump out to the early lead. The senior had six points in the first period. Katie Howard hit a three-pointer during the stretch that put SCR-I of top 15-9.

The home team looked poised to blow the game open following a big second quarter. Creek connected from behind the arc and Hailey Dial was a perfect 4-4 at the free throw line. But it was SCR-I's defense that was the difference, holding the Rams to just one field goal to push the margin to 28-13.

The visitors found their offense in the third period. Schuyler County ramped up the scoring, pouring in 20 points.

SCR-I got a pair of three-pointers from Randi Slaughter and Creek added four points, but Schuyler County trimmed the deficit to 42-33.
