History of the Memphis FFA to be Featured in Cookbook
The Memphis FFA Chapter is currently working to create a "History of the Memphis FFA Chapter" cookbook to be sold to the community beginning in May of 2013. The book will showcase the history of the chapter from its chartering in 1938 to present.
"We are asking the community for help with pictures of the chapter or individuals, in FFA official dress, from the years 1938-1950," said advisor Cassie Whitlock. "The information we have available is limited. With this, we are also asking that anyone who was a past member or their spouse was a past member from 1938-present, please submit recipes for the cookbook and your name will be noted as a supporter."
Recipes may be submitted by mail (606 W Lovers Ln), dropped at the school, or email (firstname.lastname@example.org).
"We have located information as to who the founding members were and would like to know who is still surviving from the 1938-1948 chapters and would like to visit with them to have an accurate accounting of the chapter's history," said Wittlock. "Any assistance would be greatly appreciated."
