Chamber Announces Photo Contest Winners
Winners in the Memphis Area Chamber of Commerce Photo Contest were (L to R) Vironica Horst, Cecilia Brown, Irene Fox and Bob Hunolt.
Future promotional items from the Memphis area Chamber of Commerce will be featuring some new looks thanks to several talented area photographers. The winners for the MACC photo contest were announced following the Chamber's January meeting.
Three top awards were selected in a trio of categories as MACC members present at the recent meeting judged the finalists.
Vironica Horst took top honors in the professional category. The owner of Small Moments Photography also won second prize. Third prize was awarded to Irene Fox, owner and operator of Unique Portraits.
Bob Hunolt took home all three top prizes in the amateur category with his photographs that captured images of the Scotland County Antique Fair.
The youth category was also a clean sweep, with Cecilia Brown taking all three awards.
Top prize in each category was $50 Memphis Bucks, with second prize earning $30 in Memphis Bucks and third winnings $10 in Memphis Bucks.
The images will be incorporated into Chamber marketing materials, including the area promotion to be on display at the Falling in Love with Missouri event to be held in Jefferson City on February 13th.
The Chamber has also discussed publishing a fundraiser calendar that would possibly feature the images.
