A father and son from Memphis sustained minor injuries in a two-vehicle accident in Macon County at 7:14 p.m. on Friday, February 15th.

According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, Amie L. Myers, 28, of La Plata was eastbound on Highway D in a 2005 Honda Odyssey and failed to yield at the intersection of Highway 63. The vehicle struck the side of a southbound 2007 Chevrolet Equinox driven by Faith A. Miller, 28, of Memphis.

Two passengers in the Miller vehicle, Faith's husband, Clayton R. Miller, 29, and their son, six-year-old Merit F. Miller, both sustained minor injuries in the crash. They were transported by Macon County Ambulance to Northeast Regional Medical Center in Kirksville. Myers sustained minor injuries and was transported by Adair County Ambulance to Northeast Regional Medical Center.

Faith Miller was not injured in the crash. The Patrol reported that both drivers and passengers were restrained by safety devices.

Both vehicles sustained total damage in the crash.

The Patrol was assisted at the scene by the Macon County Sheriff's Office, La Plata Fire Department, and the ambulance services from Adair and Macon counties.
