SCR-I to Host Registration, Orientation Events for New School Year

Scotland County R-I Junior and Senior High School registration and class pictures will be held August 12th - 14th from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m.

Students in grades 7-12 are encouraged to attend and get their class picture taken, pick up an official copy of their course schedule, receive locker assignment, make lunch account payments, and visit with faculty and staff.

SCR-I Junior and Senior High School orientation night will be held Tuesday, August 13th.

Seventh graders and parents are to attend at 6 p.m., with freshman and their parents arriving for orientation at 7:30 p.m.

The event will be held in the high school gymnasium. High school principal Kenya Fuemmeler will welcome the students to the building and discuss expectations for the upcoming school year.

Students and parents will be introduced to SCR-I staff members. Food Service director Judy Thomas will provide information regarding school breakfast and lunch programs. Guidance services and opportunities will be explained by counselor Brent Bondurant.

Freshmen students and their parents will also learn about the A+ program courtesy of coordinator Tom O'Donnell.

The junior high students will receive homeroom assignments while building tours will be offered to all seventh graders as well as all new students to the district.
