Heat Can't Stop 2013 Antique Fair Car Show



People's Choice, 1954 Chevy 2-door Sedan, owned by Marty Hull of Blakesburg, IA.

The annual Scotland County Antique Fair Car Show was held August 24, with more participants than last year. The hot weather brought out the 112 vehicles to show and shine. Winners from all categories are:

All makes and models 1900-1939 cars: 3rd place, H. Wayne Nelson, 1939 Mercury. 2nd place, Pepsi Cola, 1936 Chevy Master Coupe. 1st place, Chris and Terri Jones, 1936 Chevy 2-door coupe.

All makes and models 1940-1959 cars: 3rd place, Francis Frazier, 1957 Ford Fairlane. 2nd place, Cliff Tipton, 1940 Ford Convertible. 1st place, Steve Bell, 1958 Ford Skyliner.

All makes and models 1960-1969 cars: 3rd place, Duane and Sandy Arnold, 1968 Pontiac Firebird Convertible. 2nd place, Sam Caselman, 1969 Ford Torino GT. 1st place, Stanley and Brenda Boltz, 1967 Ford Fairlane.

All makes and models 1970-1979 cars: 3rd place, Carl Moore, 1977 Ford Thunderbird. 2nd place, Von Smith, 1972 Pontiac Grandville. 1st place, John Manush, 1971 Plymouth Duster 340.

All makes and models 1980-1995 cars: 3rd place, Norm Goucher, 1990 Cadillac Allante. 2nd place, Doc Gordy, 1981 Monte Carlo. 1st place, Eric Johnston, 1984 Olds 98.

All makes and models 1996 and newer cars: 3rd place, Dale Essick, 2005 Chrysler Crossfire. 2nd place, Ed Richards, 2002 Chrysler Prowler. 1st place, Dan Proctor, 2005 Dodge Viper.

All Thunderbirds: 3rd place, Michael Wiemann, 2005 T-Bird. 2nd place, D.G. and June Ann Ledford, 1966 T-Bird. 1st place, Dan Duryee, 1959 T-Bird.

All Corvettes 1973 and older: 1st place, Boyd Bissell, "in memory of Travis Bissell", 1959 Corvette.

All Corvettes 1974 and newer: 3rd place, Ellis Speer, 1985 Vet. 2nd place, Don & Nancy Price, 1997 Vet. 1st place, Ron Boone, 2006 Z06.

All Chevelles: 2nd place, Carl Kapfer, 1967 SS. 1st place, Mike and Carla Casey, 1969 Chevelle.
