Charges Filed in Crash Investigation

A Memphis man has been charged with two felony counts following a traffic accident in Memphis on September 8th.

According to the Scotland County Prosecutor's Office, Jeremy T. Hamlin, 36, is facing one count of class C felony assault in the second degree and one count of class D felony leaving the scene of a motor vehicle accident.

According to court documents, Hamlin was allegedly driving northbound on Hamilton Street in a 2006 Ford pickup when he lost control of the vehicle and it ran off the roadway and struck an embankment near the city water plant. Charges Filed in Crash Investigation

A passenger in the vehicle Douglas W. Brown, 50, of Arbela, suffered moderate injuries in the crash.
