Memphis Fall Nationals Return to Scotland County Speedway This Weekend

The Memphis Fall Nationals will return to Scotland County Speedway on October 18th and 19th.

The Scotland County Speedway lights will be shining bright this weekend as the fairgrounds will be the host site of the Memphis Fall Nationals. The event will kick off with practice laps on Thursday, October 17th from 7-10pm. Grandstand passes are free on Thursday night and pit passes are $15.

The race track is the place to be on Friday night, October 18th. Hot laps will begin at 6:45 with racing to follow. The pits will open at 4:30 and grandstands will open at 5:00. A pit pass for adults on Friday night is $25 and for students (ages 7-13) $15. Young children (6 and under) wanting to get into the pit on Friday night is $10 and free to get into the grandstand. Grandstand tickets on Friday night will be $12 for adults and $5 for students age 7-13.

Saturday night, October 19th, will prove to be an action packed night at the raceway. Hot laps will begin at 6:00 with racing to follow. Pits are scheduled to open at 3:30 and grandstand seating will open at 4:00. Pit passes for Saturday night are $30 for adults, $15 for students (ages 7-13) and $10 for kids six and younger. Grandstand tickets for Saturday's racing are $15 for adults, students 7-13 $5, and 6 and under can get in for free.

Race enthusiasts wanting to come to the entire weekend of racing can purchase a grandstand pass for the Fall Nationals for $22 or a pit pass for $50. Camping on the grounds will also be available to those interested.

Modifieds, stock cars, sport mods, hobby stocks, and sport compacts will be seen speeding around the half-mile track. Supper will be served out of the cook shack on Friday and Saturday nights for hungry spectators.

"This will be the last event of the season at the Scotland County Fairgrounds," said fair board member Julie Blessing. "This is an important fundraiser for the fair. The fairgrounds are a true asset to our community and we encourage all to come out and support the races."
