Regional Planning Commission to Host Open House, Fall Membership Meeting
Northeast Missouri Regional Planning Commission and Rural Development Corporation is hosting an open house at the organizationís new facility, located at 121 S. Cecil on Wednesday, October 30th.
Northeast Missouri Regional Planning Commission and Rural Development Corporation will host a fall membership meeting on Wednesday, October 30th in Memphis.
The event will feature an open house at the organization's new facility, located at 121 S. Cecil or a block south of the Scotland County Library. The open house will be held from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m.
The membership meeting for representatives of the RPC/RCD service region and related agencies, will begin at 6:30 p.m. at the Memphis V.F.W.
The Region C Solid Waste Management District Council meeting will follow the RPC/RCD business meeting.
Regional planning serves Scotland, Schuyler, Clark, Knox, Lewis and Adair counties as well as the 33 incorporated municipalities within the six-county region.
Programs and services provided by the organization include transportation planning, economic development, hazard mitigation, community planning and housing, solid waste management district, and grant writing and administration.
The entity is governed by an Executive Board of Directors, that is appointed from the general membership. The Executive Board is comprised of one county elected official or their designee and one city elected official or their designee from each of the six counties.
Chairman of the board is Jim Werner. Charles E. Harris of Scotland County serves as vice-chairman, while David Strickler of Edina is the secretary and Stanley Pickens is treasurer. The RPC/RCD is led by executive director David Davidson.
